"The results are in! The 2014 Best in the West Nugget Rib Cookoff announced this year's rib-cooker winners. . . Twenty-four cookers from all over the world, competed for the title of best ribs, best sauce and people's choice. But that's not all these cookers competed for. They get to return next year with some more bragging rights. Desperado's BBQ & Rib Co from Hinckley, Ohio was crowned "Best in the West" and will receive $7,500 in cash."

"Just down the way Steve and Linda Allen were waiting patiently in line at Desperado's, the popular vendor...that hands out round, hot pink stickers that proclaim 'Lick My Ribs!'
'We always come back to Lick My Ribs- what five or six years now?' Linda Allen said. 'We always walk past the other ones and think maybe we should try something from them. But we always end up here.'"
